  Research, Development and Innovation

Igeam is strongly committed to turn research into useful and commercially valuable innovations. To this end, it introduced a corporate unit dedicated to strategic research and innovation, aimed at improving the company’s innovation performance by stimulating a better integration between research and innovation.

Igeam is involved in international research projects as well as development projects together with Universities, clients or industry sectors.

  Actions comprise:

Identify future technology trends and markets
Build new knowledge, competence and services in Igeam
Ensure early market positioning and branding of Igeam as a technology leader

Develop new methodologies and tools through:

Applied research and pre-competitive development actions;
market oriented actions (surveys, targeted investments,…);
interaction and networking with the players;

  Main fields of application include:

- Air pollution and water quality management
- Water pollution management
- Energy efficiency (with special regards to renewable energies)
- Development of software systems (with special regards to GIS applications)
- Environmental management
- Climate change
- Occupational Health and Safety (organizational wellness and sustainable ergonomics)
- Communication and training



  Partnership with CETMA.

On October 2007, Igeam took a part into CETMA, an operative consortium between public research authorities and private companies. CETMA aim is to stimulate applied research on innovative materials, processes, techniques and methods to improve products’ innovation and development.
